Information Needed To Quote A Compressed Air Project

A compressed air project quote is only as accurate as the information behind it. Sending the details below with your inquiry cuts weeks off the timeline and gets you a real number instead of a range.

The 12-Item Checklist

You do not need to have all of these to start. Send what you have; we will fill in the rest during a site visit or a phone call.

  • 1. Existing compressor make, model, and horsepower
  • 2. Approximate run hours per day and shift schedule
  • 3. Required system pressure at the tools
  • 4. Known problems (pressure drops, wet air, cycling, faults)
  • 5. Building size and compressor room location
  • 6. Photos of the compressor room and existing piping
  • 7. Dryer and filtration currently installed (make/model if known)
  • 8. Receiver tank size and location
  • 9. Electrical service available (voltage, phase, amps)
  • 10. Ventilation situation in the compressor room
  • 11. Any planned facility changes (new machines, new lines, shift adds)
  • 12. Timeline and any hard constraints (shutdown windows, capex cycle)

Why Each One Matters

Compressor age and hours tell us whether repair or replacement is the honest recommendation. Pressure and demand set the compressor size. Room and electrical constraints often decide whether a bigger unit even fits. Timeline decides whether the install can happen during a planned window or needs rental coverage.

What Not To Send

You do not need to guess at CFM demand. You do not need to spec a compressor model. If you have measurements, send them - but do not manufacture numbers. Wrong data is worse than no data.

What Happens Next

We review what you sent, ask follow-up questions, and usually schedule a site walk for anything past a straightforward compressor swap. From walk to written quote is typically one to two weeks depending on scope. Larger system projects with electrical coordination take longer.

Want us to spec this for your plant? Send the details - we will scope it and quote it.
